FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – BRANDON, FL – Herzog Companies, a diversified provider of transportation equipment and services, and ACS Connect announced an agreement today to deploy ACS Connect’s Resource Commander software application for management of their field distributed equipment. Resource Commander will interface with QUALCOMM’s GlobalTRACS® wireless equipment tracking system recently implemented by Herzog to track and locate the company’s mobile equipment.

The GlobalTRACS system uses a small ruggedized dual mode wireless transceiver with GPS functionality to communicate equipment usage and location data to Herzog servers. Resource Commander will collect and aggregate the GlobalTRACS® usage data and export the information directly to the Computer Guidance Corporation (CGC) Construction Management System, which is the heart of Herzog’s back office operations. Previously, collection of this data was accomplished manually and involved several time consuming processes. 

Once the data gathered by Resource Commander is processed and approved, a complete data set is fed to CGC’s equipment and job costing modules. In addition to processing and integration of Herzog’s remote equipment, Resource Commander will provide detailed reporting and analysis to Herzog managers, which was not previously available.
