Construction companies depend on a variety of resources to complete jobs.  Accurate and timely job cost accounting of these resources is the key to ensuring that profit targets are met.  Too often, circumstances such as paper forms and remote job sites cause delays, inaccuracies and cost overruns.  Resource Commander was developed to provide a straightforward solution to this need. 

Simple yet sophisticated, Resource Commander allows construction resources to be accurately tracked directly at the source, whether in the field or the office.  Resource data can then be reported and manipulated immediately upon entry.  Once approved, the data can then be shared with other systems. 

Track All Types of Construction Resources 

Resource Commander allows all types of construction resources to be tracked and costed.  Resources including employees, equipment, subcontractors and materials can be processed together in a single application.  All entries collected can be coded as time, units or direct expense.  Collection codes are fully configurable, and multiple currencies are supported. 

Perform Entry Online or Offline  

The Resource Commander console allows entry to be completed efficiently using a PC or laptop using a compact installation.  For streamlined entry without any installation, browser based entry is available, and also works on most web enabled mobile devices. 

Offline entry is supported by the console on a PC, laptop or Windows Mobile™ device.  When a user performs entry and a server connection is unavailable, entries are stored locally until a connection becomes available.  Locally cached resource and validation information allows entries to be completely costed just when online.  Once a connection is detected, Resource Commander quietly synchronizes any entries performed offline and any new validation data available from the server. 

Fully Integrated

Built on the principle that no data should be entered twice, Resource Commander supports complete integration with construction accounting and construction project management systems.  All job cost information used during entry can be populated from the existing job costing system of record.  Entries can then in turn be uploaded directly to one or more systems with the assurance that all costing data is valid.  In addition to efficiencies, this integration capability provides safeguards by allowing critical information to be captured without authorizing direct access to key financial systems.
