Collect

The power of Resource Commander lies in its flexibility to collect information from a variety of resources using tools that fit with your company's process.  The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.  Here's just a few of the ways in which information can be collected by Resource Commander:

PC/Laptop Client

The Resource Commander Console application runs on any PC device using Windows XP Professional or Vista operating systems.  Functionality is configured based upon the specified user role, with permissions assigned by your designated system administrator.  Here, time can be entered, cost centers assigned, and approvals made, online or offline.  As soon as the Resource Commander Console application establishes a connection to the server, uploads to the accounting system can be accomplished in an instant.

TimeClock Kiosk

Resources can be clocked on and off of assignments using the TimeClock extension for Resource Commander.  Because the TimeClock operates online like the Console application, events are captured in real time, and with only those assignments available to the resource as set up in the back office system.  TimeClock Kiosk can be installed on any PC device with Windows XP Professional or Vista.

Integrated Time Clocks

Employee resources can clock in and out using an integrated time clock attached to your local area network.  ACS Connect currently partners with Ingersoll Rand who offer several powerful biometric time and attendance terminals that easily interface to Resource Commander. 



RC Mobile

Time for employee resources can be tracked using a Resource Commander client on any mobile device using Windows Mobile 6.  Individual time can be quickly entered, and groups of resources can easily be tracked and set for approval by a foreman or manager.  As with the Console application, time and approvals can be entered on or off line.  As soon as your mobile device establishes a connection (wired or wireless), time and approvals are automatically sent to the server.

RC Web Collect

From any computer with internet access, time can be entered into Resource Commander using the RC Web Collect web interface tool.  Functionality closely approximates that of the TimeClock kiosk, where employees can clock into and out of jobs to which they are assigned.

QUALCOMM GlobalTRACS® Adaptor

ACS Connect and QUALCOMM have partnered to offer a complete solution for tracking equipment.  The GlobalTRACS devices install easily on all types of motorized equipment.  Utilization data is collected wirelessly and fed to Resource Commander, where location and utilization data can be cross referenced against equipment, job and cost codes in the back office to automatically create a complete job cost distribution.  Fully distributed records are then queued in Resource Commander for approval and upload to the back office system.
